why is “report hate speech” not one of the default options with “report spam” instead of “report sexually explicit material”. i’m not a cop so i don’t care if people post hole & pole but i would love if i didn’t have to explain every time why it’s bad when there are nazis
so SAG-AFTRA finally released some official guidance for fans, viewers, creators/influencers, critics, and more during the strike. here’s what you need to know:
if you see a publication/news source/journalist talking about a piece of struck work, that’s ok. they’re allowed to do that.
2. they’re asking regular viewers and fans to DONATE TO STRIKE FUNDS, SHOW UP TO PICKETS IF YOU CAN, and please do NOT boycott streaming services or movies in theaters.
3. influencers, content creators, cosplayers, and anything in between is still a bit of a grey area, but they’re asking people to use their best judgement. “organically” means UNPAID promo (like an invite to a premiere without being paid, being sent a publicity box, letting the company’s social media post a photo of you in cosplay, etc).
obviously this doesn’t answer every question, and isn’t hard and fast rules for fanworks, but it can at least inform how you personally choose to move forward when posting online and moving publically. i hope this helps!
I think one of the most frustrating things about modern conservatives is when they hate something for the wrong reason. And then you have to defend something you also hate.
“I hate Disney!” “Yes, their view on labor has been…” “Because of their woke garbage movies!” “Oh.”
“I am sick of these Disney remakes!” “Yeah, it would be nice if they focused on creating original IPs instead of copy/paste remakes of animated classics.” “They cast a black mermaid!” “Oh.”
“Facebook is evil!” “Yeah, selling user data without consent was…” “They deleted my post about whites being replaced!” “Oh.”
Blaming Michael for not knowing Alex was in the pocket dimenson is the same as blaming Alex for not knowing that Michael wanted to start over at the beginning of season 3. It’s such a strange expectation. Michael obviously called Alex, but Alex said he would be busy, he got no word from Deep Sky that Alex wasn’t where he was supposed to be, so how would he know Alex was missing? The entirety of season 4 was showing us how in love with Alex, Michael is. Also let’s not pretend that the writing wasn’t having difficulty in trying to come up with reasons as to why Alex would be gone for so long and not have people even mention him. The writing was a little careless and certainly clumsy with this storyline, but pretending it was just Michael being like “out of sight, out of mind” with Alex… it’s just so incorrect. Michael was in two states of mind the entire season.. one state was finally being with Alex and loving him, and the other state was having hope he may actually see his home planet.
So, it turns out Henry can be funny. Alex adds that to his mental file.
It also turns out Henry is fond of texting when he’s trapped in moments of royal monotony, like being shuttled to and from appearances, or sitting through meandering briefings on his family’s land holdings, or, once, begrudgingly and hilariously receiving a spray tan.
Alex wouldn’t say he likes Henry, but he does enjoy the quick rhythm of arguments they fall into. He knows he talks too much, hopeless at moderating his feelings, which he usually hides under ten layers of charm, but he ultimately doesn’t care what Henry thinks of him, so he doesn’t bother. Instead, he’s as weird and manic as he wants to be, and Henry jabs back in sharp flashes of startling wit.
